msconfig: Easily edit your Windows settings

One of the most useful tools that I use under Windows to keep it running smoothly is to run the command "msconfig" once in a while.

Go to Start, Run and type "msconfig"

For newbies, go to StartUp tab and get rid of unnecessary things that tend to install themselves! Please note that if you see something you don't know there, its best to just google for it to find out what it is before deactivating it! Disabling something imporatant make completely mess up your system. You should be able to go to Safe Mode and restore it things should there be a problem.

I've found several hidden viruses lurking in there, unwanted stuff from Real Player, Yahoo etc eating up my system..again this is one great tool that can help you be in control ( a little bit in control at least :D )
